"So the chief priests made plans to put Lazarus to death as well."

John 12:10

What a peculiar thought. The chief priests planned to kill a man who was previously dead but had been risen to life again by Jesus.

They wanted to destroy the testimony of Lazarus, which verified that Jesus was the resurrection and life.

Beloved, let us live with the sober reality that the enemy has a similar notion concerning you. Your life stands as a testimony to the power of Christ. You were once dead in sin, but Christ has brought you into new life. You are a living epistle of God's saving grace and mercy. The spirit of this age has the same animosity towards you as it did against Lazarus.

Be not dismayed or afraid. God has promised never to leave you and will keep you until the race is run. The Lord is with you today.

In Christ Alone.
