A Shelter for Life | March 11th.

"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty."

Psalm 91:1

The Psalmist paints a beautiful image of a secure shelter—a dwelling in which we can hide ourselves—a dwelling that is the very shadow of the Almighty. There is no other place more secure.

Beloved, we often think of a shelter as a physical structure. A place that we go to physically, but we must see that our thoughts dwell within the framework of God's word.

Let our thoughts and the desires of the heart rest upon God and His will. We forfeit peace of mind because we do not rest our thoughts upon God. Anxiety takes the heart that is not looking to God for His rest, guidance, and strength.

If we bring ourselves and all that concerns us to God, then we will be hidden in the shadow of the Almighty. In Him is our peace.

In Christ Alone,

Pastor Wight
