"And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and filled the entire house where they were sitting."

Acts 2:2

The Church of Jesus Christ was born suddenly. The Holy Spirit makes the church the body of Christ. The sound from heaven is what transformed those who were sitting in the house. The Spirit of God filled the people present, and the church was born.

It is the Holy Spirit within God's people that causes them to be the church. If we have not been regenerated by the Spirit then we remain people merely sitting together without life.

The Holy Spirit enables us to be the church of God. The entity of God's divine grace among humanity. His light and salt in the world. Let us wait upon God and seek His times of refreshing so that we may be a blessing to those around us for the glory of God.
