“That we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction. with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”

  2 Corinthians 1:4

Beloved, as we seek the Lord for comfort today, let us also pray for the ability to comfort others. While it is natural to focus on our own needs and the hope of comfort, we should remain attentive to the needs of those around us.

Scripture teaches that the Holy Spirit empowers us to comfort others, as we have received comfort from God through our own experiences. Therefore, let us ask the Lord to help us extend comfort to those in need. Many individuals require encouragement and support. Words spoken with grace, acts of kindness, and attentive listening are just a few ways we can offer comfort. God places no limits on how He may use us to bring comfort to others. Let us prayerfully make ourselves available as instruments of His comfort. In doing so, we may also find renewal.

In Christ Alone.
