"Jesus said to them, " I am the bread of life."

John 6:35

Life contains mystery, wonder, and strife. It demands perseverance and wisdom. It will not take many years in one's journey to realize man cannot live by bread alone.

There are many pleasures in life, but nothing possesses an eternal quality. Nothing can help a person or keep them at peace within every season. We must look beyond ourselves and what is supplied by the world around us.

The God of creation has blessed us through His common grace within creation. What we need beyond this is divine intervention. We need the grace of God and the work of the Spirit within our daily lives. It is in Christ, the bread of heaven, that the soul is satisfied, fed, and preserved through all of life's journey. Jesus declared Himself to be the bread of life. Let us partake of Him today, for in Him there is life more abundant.

In Christ Alone.
