"Everlasting Father"
Isaiah 9:6
Our Lord is eternal and ministers to us in fatherly affection.
Christ laid down His life for us. He guides, provides, and protects us.
Let us not doubt His love for us today but entrust ourselves to his care. The Lord will not abandon you or forsake you. May the Spirit of God renew our understanding of this expression of the Lord's care. We have been broken and hurt by some earthly fathers and do not know how to relate to what Isaiah is expressing. The Lord will restore a right understanding of His affection for us. His love, provision, and protection are eternal. The Lord will keep us today until He brings us home to dwell with him forever.
