Fear Not | May 22nd

"Fear not,...the Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save."

Zepaniah 3:16,17

Why shouldn't we be afraid? God, who saves, is for us. The firm conviction in God's promise that He is for us drives fear from our hearts.

Everyone is susceptible to anxiety due to the cares of life. If we are wise, we understand the frailty of life. The careful observer understands that our lives are a vapor and that tomorrow is not guaranteed. Whether we experience trial or pleasure, the assurance that the Lord is with us carries us through the day.

The God who saves has promised that His mercy shall be made new every morning. That He is with us and will not forsake us. Therefore, do not fear, but put your trust in the Lord.

In Christ Alone.
