Fond Memories | May 7th

“I thank my God in all my remembrance of you.”

   Philippians 1:3

Recently, I drove past a Burger King where my grandfather often took me during my childhood. I vividly recalled the occasion when I finished an entire Whopper, motivated by my desire to emulate my Granddad, who was enjoying one himself. More importantly, I remember his godly character and kindness, qualities I have always aspired to follow.

Cherished memories are especially meaningful when they are grounded in faith. We should strive to live in a way that leads others to thank God for our presence in their lives. In doing so, we not only offer immediate blessings but also inspire one another to grow in Christ.

Familiar places often evoke powerful emotions and reflections. Although my Granddad is now with the Lord, the memories I hold of him continue to guide me. They consistently remind me to practice kindness, express gratitude for God's grace, and dedicate my life to serving the Lord.

Today, we can pray for the Lord to use us for His glory. By seeking to bless others, we encourage gratitude toward God and, through His grace, inspire others to live for Christ.

In Christ Alone.
