"If God is for us, who can be against us?"

   Romans 8:31

Beloved, there are times in life when it seems the whole world is against you. You may find yourself saying to yourself or to others that you can't get out of it at all, as it just seems to happen one after another.

We recognize the reality of trials in life, and we also know the adversary of our souls, whose intent is to undermine our faith. Satan has opposed God's people since the beginning. He is called the accuser of the brethren and the father of lies. Scripture warns us of his evil schemes. Nevertheless, we need not fear the evil one, for the Lord is both for us and with us.

We also have internal conflict in our hearts and minds. The battle with temptation, the battle with the old nature, the battle with our own brokenness can be absolutely devastating. Trying to bear that on our own will inevitably lead to exhaustion. Our hope is in God though. God is our Redeemer. He has cleansed us from all unrighteousness. He has given us His righteousness and His holiness. Any accusation the enemy can bring against us is simply nullified by our Advocate.

Christ has redeemed us by His own blood. He holds us securely and nothing that happens in this life can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. The Lord is your strength, your hope and your peace today. If He is for you, nothing can stand in the way of the blessing and purpose of God for your life.

In Christ Alone.
