"He took our illnesses and bore our diseases."

Matthew 8:17

Beloved, though our outward man is perishing, we have the promise that the Holy Spirit is renewing our inner man daily. The promise of regeneration should not keep us from asking for physical healing.

God will providentially heal us according to His will. The Lord may allow the medicine to succeed, or He will touch us without the aid of modern medicine and in some instances we may suffer.

In all of this, we should look to the Lord, knowing that He is working all things for the good of our salvation. Let us be emboldened to seek for healing. Our diseases were taken by Him. If we do not experience our healing here a day is coming when death will be swallowed by life. We shall put away mortality for immortality and dwell with God.

In Christ Alone.
