Helper of the Weak | Dec. 16th

‘The Spirit helps us in our weakness.”

    Romans 8:26

Beloved, have you ever taken it upon yourself to help another person? You see a loved one struggling emotionally; your heart breaks with them as you earnestly listen, offer encouragement, and try to remedy the situation.  We offer our strength to help those who are physically weaker; we give of ourselves and our time, hoping it will be enough.

Do you know that the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness? Our attempt to help others does not always prove sufficient. However, the Spirit's help is always sufficient. The Holy Spirit knows exactly what we need and is omnipotent.

He dwells within us, giving life and power. If we ask, He is faithful. If you need help, ask the Holy Spirit, the Comforter.

In Christ Alone.
