Keepsakes | Dec. 24th

"Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart."

Luke 2:19

Beloved, do you have a keepsake? Do you have an item that memorializes a person or an event?

Mary was storing the birth of Jesus in her heart and the shepherds' words. She would probably reflect upon their words and that moment in the years to come as she observed Jesus teaching and performing miracles.

May we follow her example by treasuring God's word in our hearts. Let us ponder His providence in our daily lives and the many blessings the Lord has brought. There should be thoughtful reflection given to the lessons the Lord is teaching us through the circumstances of life.

Begin today by storing up your treasury. Gather God's word and answered prayer as keepsakes in your heart and mind. Ponder them, give testimony to what God has done, and give thanks to the Lord for what He has done for you.

In Christ Alone,

Pastor Wight
