“You yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house.”

   1 Peter 2:5

Beloved, masonry, in particular, stone wall building, is a form of art and engineering. Not only does a stone wall need to be as strong as a wall setting a boundary, but you want it to be aesthetically pleasing as well. Many scenic roads in New England are bordered by these works of art.

Occasionally, one will be damaged by a car or a fallen tree. Disrupting the structure. It is a challenge to repair these old walls and to place the stones in their original positions.

The Church is founded and built upon Christ, the cornerstone. He has taken living stones and fitted them together to form His church. Each stone is placed by the Spirit of God and made alive in Christ. We can never underestimate the significance of our place in this spiritual house.

The church is a spiritual dwelling place made up of living stones. Each living stone brings life to the house of God. When living stones are not in place, it has a negative impact on the house. Beloved, let us take our position in the spiritual house of God. The dwelling place of the Lord, built on Christ and built together by living stones.

In Christ Alone.
