Lost at Sea | June 3rd

"He will again have compassion on us; he will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea."

Micah 7:19

Compassion, where would you be not for the mercy of God? Beloved, we cannot fully understand the magnitude of God's compassion until we see it in the light of His holiness. In the light of God's holiness, we see our sinfulness.

It is sin that separates us from God. It is our iniquities that He has trampled underfoot. God had compassion for us. In one monumental moment, all of our sins were paid for and swept into the depths of the sea, never to be remembered again.

Christ the Redeemer made atonement for us, and now we are reconciled. The promise of reconciliation in Christ is the assurance for today. In Christ, God is for us and will never forsake us.

In Christ Alone.
