Nothing Becomes Something | Sep 23rd

 “Tell me, what have you in the house? And she said, ‘ Your servant has nothing in the house except a jar of oil?”

  2 Kings 4:2

  Beloved, Elisha asked the woman in need what he could do for her and what she had in the house. She responded, " I have nothing except a jar of oil. Our needs are often greater than the resources we possess. Essentially, we feel as though what we have amounts to nothing.

  Do not regard yourself, your abilities, or your resources as insignificant or without hope. We are invited by the Heavenly Father, through Elisha, with the question, “What shall I do for you?” God is both willing and able to help you. There is nothing you cannot present before the Lord that He will not hear.

    God is pleased to use His divine power in situations which we consider to be nothing; the emptiness, difficulties, and troubles we experience teach us regarding the faithful goodness of God, since He supplies what is needed at the right moment and shows us kindness and mercy. Apart from the Lord we have nothing, but in Christ we have everything that we need both in this life and in the life that is to come. Do not worry about anything, my dear friend; instead, make your needs known to God, for He will respond to you and thus turn your nothing into something.
