"I was brutish and ignorant; I was like a beast toward you. Nevertheless, I am continually with you; you hold my right hand."

Psalm 73:22-23

The Psalmist does not give us an excuse to doubt God or question His providence. However, he does reveal the inner struggle we have at times in our walk with the Lord.

Unfortunately, there is a tendency to stray while the heart can become indifferent. When we come to our senses, we realize that we have sinned against our Savior, the only hope we have in this world and the One who is worthy of our adoration.

Truly, God has never forsaken us, and we have only come this far by faith because of the mercy of God. Beloved, let us humble ourselves before the Lord and seek His mercy. Let us respond appropriately to the One who is holding us.

In Christ Alone.
