Savior | Dec. 29th

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”

   Luke 2:11

The angel of God declared good news to the shepherds that night. Good news that still causes the angels to sing and mankind to worship. The angel stated that a Savior had been born. He did not say that the child shall be a savior but that He was the Savior. Christ is able to save because He is the Savior.

Who Jesus is and what He has done for us is greater than ourselves. Our lives are fleeting, our strength is weak, and our faith is fragile. Christ the Savior is greater. He has saved us and continues to keep us saved. We are sealed by the Holy Spirit, giving us daily hope and peace that guards our hearts and minds.

Let the first advent of Christ assure your heart each day. Because He is the Savior, you are secure in Him and have the hope of seeing all things made new.

In Christ Alone.
