" And he came out and went, as was his custom, to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed him."

Luke 22:39

Jesus had been sharing the Passover with His disciples. He said many things that evening that were hard to hear and could not be fully understood. Jesus also told them that He had more to share but that they could not bear it now. One can only imagine what they were thinking and what their hearts were feeling. Despite this, the disciples still followed Jesus into the garden.

Beloved, we do not always understand what the Lord is trying to show us in our lives. We do not always understand His timing or ways. If we are honest, there are circumstances that we do not like at all.

When these times come, let us follow the example of the disciples. Let us continue to follow Christ. Follow the Lord into the garden even when you do not understand or know what the outcome may be. Simply trust the Lord. All God is asking of you is to trust Him.

In Christ Alone,

Pastor Wight
