"I have kept for myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal. So too at the present time there is a remnant, chosen by grace."

Romans 11:4-5

Elijah was concerned in his day that none would serve God, that he alone was the last faithful preacher. The Lord reassured him that there was still a true remnant faithful to God.

Human history has often been shrouded in darkness, but even in the most desperate times, when the darkness tries to extinguish the light, it fails. The Lord has promised that His church shall always prevail. Persecution will rise and fall in intensity against the people of God, but grace will prove sufficient to weather these storms.

False teachers have come, and the tares will grow among the wheat, but a remnant will always remain. Those who will not compromise and who love the truth. Chosen by God through grace. Let us be numbered among the remnant, who only bow their knee to Christ Jesus our Lord.

In Christ Alone,

Pastor Wight
