The Waiting Room | March 4th

"It will be said on that day, " Behold, this is our God; we waited for him, that he might save us. This is the Lord; we have waited for him; let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation."

Isaiah 25:9

Beloved, perhaps you are waiting for an answer to prayer. You could be hoping for a burden to be lifted or a breakthrough in a dark period. The waiting could seem endless, but do not be dismayed; the Lord you are waiting for will come.

Many times we feel as though we are waiting on God while wondering why He delays. The work He is doing is often within us. The Lord is molding us and working grace in our lives. We must hold to His promise that all things will work for the good of our salvation.

Our daily waiting will culminate with Christ's return, when He will make all things new, and we will enter into our eternal hope. There are days of rejoicing here when God's salvation comes to us, but there is coming a day when we will never wait again.

In Christ Alone,

Pastor Wight
