There is Forgiveness | May 23rd

"Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love."

Joel 2:13

Sadly, in this life, we may have experienced strife with a person with whom we knew reconciliation would be impossible or difficult. Sometimes, family or friends find themselves in a situation where they cannot reach an agreement or a place of forgiveness.

Unfortunately, we carry these experiences into our understanding of God. We do not expect God's grace and mercy in light of our sins and failures. Beloved, God is willing to forgive the penitent heart.

The Lord is slow to anger. He is gracious and merciful. Come to God with a sincere heart of repentance, and you will find mercy.
