"Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever."

Hebrews 13:7-8

Beloved, you have a physical genealogy that has shaped your life. You also have a spiritual lineage by faith in Christ that has brought you into a new life. This new life in Christ has transformed you into a new creation.

The new life in Christ has more power and hope than any other influence from the past. As you look to the past through the word of God and church history, you see how the Lord has been faithful to His people. God has never forsaken His people and has promised to finish the work He began.

Let this history encourage you. Let it remind you that the Lord is with you the same way He has been with all His people. You are no different. Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The Lord will not fail you.

In Christ Alone.
