“Restore to me the joy of your salvation.”

  Psalm 51:12

Beloved, if we are honest, there are times when we become dull. We do not regard the glory and the privilege of the salvation we have in Christ. Worship and the gathering with the saints do not enrapture us. We tend to blame others or the songs chosen. We no longer hunger for the word as we once did, while our time of prayer feels more like a duty than a fellowship with a loving God.

Let us ask the Lord to restore the joy of our salvation. Let us begin to seek that the Holy Spirit rekindle our hearts and minds. We have been saved by grace alone, and this same grace keeps us. The Lord is able to keep our hearts fervent with the joy of being a child of God. Ask, and the joy of your salvation will be given unto you.

In Christ Alone.
