Victory in Life | Aug 6th

“With God we shall do valiantly; it is he who will tread down our foes.”

  Psalm 60:12

  The believer's life is filled with hostility. We struggle with our sinful nature, and we have an enemy who strikes at our heart. The battle over sin and temptation can never be won with our determination. It is when we entrust ourselves to the Lord and the power of the Spirit that we experience victory.

   If we have been saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Then we must understand that is how we live the Christian life. Christ sustains us by His grace as we continue to look to Him in faith. This is the only way to overcome temptations. Beloved, do not determine to try harder or promise God that you will do better. Look to Christ and His strength. The Holy Spirit will empower you as you trust the Lord to finish the good work He began in you. Christ will tread down the foes of your heart through the new life you have in Him.
