“Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”

   Hebrews 13:7-8

Life is forever changing. However, the faithfulness of God remains the same. Those who have gone on before us in Christ proved the faithfulness of God and His goodness. They have left a testimony of their trust in the Lord and the reward of following Him.

God remains the same, beloved. Let us not strive in our own strength or depend upon ourselves. We must acknowledge the Lord in all of our ways and learn to rely upon the grace He has promised to us. The Lord has committed Himself to us, and we should commit our lives into His hands.

There is no hand stronger or more gracious than the Lord’s. He will keep us in an ever-changing world. Do not be anxious for tomorrow, God will be with you beyond the end of the ages.

“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way.”

   1 Thessalonians 3:16

Beloved, can you have peace today? Is there a way for you to be at peace no matter what you are facing or how troubled your heart has become? If you look to the Lord, you can have full assurance that His peace will keep you.

The Lord of peace will give you peace. His peace will guard your heart and mind. The peace of the Lord exceeds the cares of life. We rest in His promises and that the Lord loves His people. If we are wicked, but know how to give good gifts, then the Lord, who is good, will not withhold peace. He is working all things for the good of our salvation.

In every situation, the Holy Spirit will bring peace to your heart. Prayerfully consider the promises of God, His faithfulness, and the security of your salvation. Surely, the Lord will supply peace today.

“Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life.”

  Psalm 138:7

There is no life that is trouble-free.  We are painfully aware of this truth about life, and we can all identify with the desire for a moment of peace.

As followers of Christ, we are assured that in this life we will have trouble. God has promised to help us. Beloved, let us be sure that the Lord will keep us. As we navigate through the daily troubles, we can wonder if we will make it to the end of our days without growing hard. Can we remain joyful and at peace?

The Holy Spirit will enable us to remain kind. He will help us to be at peace, to maintain a joyful heart, and be patient. The Lord will enable you to finish well, for He keeps us. We do not overcome by our strength but by His grace. Trust in the Lord’s mercy today. He will preserve your heart in the midst of trouble.
