Evening Light | July 3rd

“From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised!”

   Psalm 113:3

The evening air was warm, drawing out the fireflies. Hundreds of these luminous creatures filled the yard, from the ground up into the trees, resembling Christmas lights in June. High above, the stars offered their own radiant display. It was awe-inspiring to witness the smallest light within reach and the distant brilliance of the stars, far beyond our grasp. The immense distance and scale serve as reminders that we serve a mighty Creator who is worthy of all our praise.

Beloved, as we go through our day, we encounter the wisdom, goodness, and power of our Lord. These qualities testify to His compassion toward us, reminding us that God's goodness and mercy are renewed each morning. Therefore, we need not be anxious about anything, but instead bring everything to Him in prayer.

Let us bring our burdens to the Lord, confident that if He has established creation in order, He will also meet our needs. Let us give thanks and praise the name of the Lord, for He is good.

In Christ Alone.
