A Wake Up Call

“Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die.”

   Revelation 3:2

If you have ever experienced physical therapy, it is probably because you suffered an injury or are trying to recover from a procedure. The premise is to strengthen or correct something that is weak or injured.

Beloved, spiritually speaking, there are times when we need to strengthen our spirit or the works that we do for the Lord. Perhaps our hands have grown weary or indifferent towards others. So that they are longer active or extended in aid of others. Our eyes are shut, and our ears are turned away from the needs represented around us.

The Holy Spirit calls us to strengthen our hearts, to bear up under the burdens of others again. To resume the work of the Lord and to seek God’s refreshing so that we might strengthen what remains. Let us not delay any longer in continuing in the will of God. Let us wake up and strengthen what remains, so that nothing further is lost. God will help us.

In Christ Alone.
