“You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.”

   Micah 7:19

Beloved, there are sins and faults we committed that we would rather forget. We have repented before our heavenly Father, but they still haunt us. The adversary of our souls never ceases in his attempt to bring condemnation, while others do not hesitate to remind us as well.

One would be tempted to lose heart under such a weight of guilt and shame. It is the knowledge of what God has done with our iniquity that brings us joy and peace. It is the Savior who removes our sins from us. Who creates within us a clean heart and a right spirit. When these memories arise, remind yourself of what God has done. Let the word of God silence all accusations, and may you know who you are in Christ.

The Lord has cast your sins into the depths of the sea; let them remain there.

In Christ Alone.
