The Make Over | June 5th

“If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.”

  Roams 8:11

Beloved, we live in an era where an entire industry is devoted to makeovers. Social media platforms, corporations, and self-help experts actively promote the concept of transformation. Individuals publicly document their personal changes online, while companies compete for opportunities to facilitate transformation in various aspects of our lives. Some experts have even achieved celebrity status through their transformation methods.

There is only One who can truly transform a life from death to life. He has overcome sin and death, offering us the promise of resurrection and eternal life. As new creations in Christ, the Holy Spirit resides within each believer. Although we await the resurrection and the time when God will renew all things, the Spirit of God is present with us now. He is able and willing to shape us into the likeness of our Lord. This is not merely a future promise; it is a present reality to be embraced each day.

Today, we may be empowered by the Holy Spirit. We can experience continual transformation in Christ, moving from one stage of glory to another. Through the Spirit, we possess abundant life and belong to God. While personal growth in every area of life is valuable, we must remember that our deepest transformation comes from the Holy Spirit, who continues to work within our hearts.

In Christ Alone.
