" Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence?"

Psalm 139:7

ree

There is something comforting about a familiar face or place. Our human nature tends to be at peace when things remain the same. After a long day at work or travel, we look forward to being home and surrounded by those we love and who love us. Sleeping in our bed is comforting and usually produces a good night's rest.

Unfortunately, life does not remain the same. People come in and out of our lives. We change, people change, and the world around us continues to change. Nothing remains the same, and that which was familiar no longer exists. This can be unsettling and erode our peace. Where do we find peace in an ever-changing world?

God remains the same; He is immutable. The eternal Lord is also omnipresent; He is everywhere, and thankfully, we cannot escape Him. When things are unfamiliar and changing, know that the Ancient of Days is always with you and you will never be separated from the Lord. No matter where you are or what you go through, God is with you. The Spirit of God and His love are always with you.

In Christ Alone,

Pastor Wight
