"Lord, teach us to pray."

Luke 11:1

ree

The request for instruction in prayer could be made for all of our lives. We know that we come before God in Christ with the assurance of being heard. We need help knowing what to pray in each circumstance.

Let us not assume that we know God's will or the best answer to our prayers. Approach the Lord with humility in each request, acknowledging His will and the Spirit's help in bringing our prayers to God.

We could say," Lord, teach us to pray." Teach me to be led by you, to accept your will, and to trust you for what is best. Teach us to approach every need with your eyes and pray accordingly. To see others as you do and pray with that understanding. May we have faith in God and pray with a firm conviction that nothing is impossible. Teach us to pray today.

In Christ Alone,

Pastor Wight
