Prince of Peace | May 6th

"You were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot."

1 Peter 1:18-19

Beloved, what is your hope today? Where shall you find peace and hope in every circumstance? It is the Gospel that strengthens the spirit. It is the Gospel that will lift you in every situation.

The eternal God, who is unchanging and faithful, has given you His great and precious promises. The foundation of your hope is God's word. The person of the Gospel, Jesus Christ, has laid down His life for you. He ransomed you from sin. Christ purchased you with His life by shedding His blood.

The sinless Lamb of God made atonement for you and you belong to God. The Lord will not forsake you. He will watch over you and keep you all the days of your life. The Gospel gives you peace today for Christ is the Prince of Peace.
