“I will come again.”

  John 14:3

Beloved, our Lord gave a simple promise to all of His children on the very night He was betrayed. Jesus told the disciples that they would forsake Him in a few hours, but reassured them that they would be restored. That their sorrow would turn into joy and they would see Him again.

Let us be encouraged by this same promise of Christ’s return. Numerous times that night, Jesus repeatedly told them things that would happen in order that they would believe in Him further. Everything came to pass as Jesus foretold.

We can then be sure that the promise of His return is just as reliable and trustworthy. Jesus will come again, and we will be with Him forever.

In Christ Alone.
