“I see people, but they look like trees, walking.”

  Mark 8:24

  Jesus first touched the blind man; he saw men as trees. His vision was not yet fully restored. Similarly, although our Lord has touched us, we also require the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in our lives so that we may perceive the beauty of God with clarity.

  journey through life with limited vision, often unable to recognize the continual goodness and faithfulness of the Lord surrounding us. Our thoughts may become preoccupied with negativity or unmet expectations. As a result, we may be inclined to complain and doubt rather than respond with joy and hope.

  Let us seek the ongoing presence of God in our lives, praying that our eyes may be opened to the beauty surrounding us. May we recognize the hand of God and be filled with gratitude for all He has accomplished. Let us count His blessings today, acknowledging each one individually.
