“He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler.”

Psalm 91:3

Beloved, sometimes we feel as defenseless and helpless as a little bird, but God has promised to deliver us. The sanre has been set and we feel as though we cannot be freed from our circumstances. We do not see how we shall survive our current situation. But God has promised not to forsake us.

Beloved, the Lord is at work even though your heart feels hopeless. He will deliver you. God’s grace will prove to be sufficient in the midst of the trial, even though there will not be an immediate change. The Spirit of the Lord will sustain you. Put your hope in God today, you will not succumb to the snare of the fowler.

“I am the true vine.”

   John 15:1

Jesus is the life source of the believer. He alone brings eternal life to the church and enables us to become the children of God. Only in Christ do we have eternal life. Only in Christ are we reconciled unto God. Only in Christ can we bring glory to God.

There is no life outside of Jesus. Let us believe and trust that the Lord sustains every branch. We do not attach ourselves to the vine or hold to the vine by our strength. Christ sustains every branch. It is His faithfulness and power that keep us. Beloved, you are kept today by the power of God. In Jesus, you have grace, mercy, and peace.

Let us look to Jesus, the vine, to bring us strength for the day with the assurance that His goodness and mercy are with us.

“The wise of heart is called discerning, and sweetness of speech increases persuasiveness.”

  Proverbs 16:21

Beloved, a discerning heart is founded in the wisdom of God. It is through understanding the righteousness of God that we are able to identify what is righteous, good, and beneficial. The Lord has blessed us with a conscience, reason, and the ability to learn. We should desire to excel in all areas of understanding, for our own well-being and so that we can be a blessing to others.

Let us not be quick to give our opinion, but may we have a true understanding of what is noble and good, coupled with the ability to express such truths with clarity. Our words must be seasoned with grace so that those who listen to us are edified. There is a benefit in sharing ideas, both for the recipients and for the one sharing. In this exchange, there is a deepening of understanding.

By God’s grace and wisdom, may we be known for our sound counsel, charity, and kindness in expression.
