 “The vessel he was making of clay was spoiled in the potter’s hand, and he reworked it into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to do.”

  Jeremiah 18:4

  Beloved, in the visual parable given to the prophet, the potter is at work from beginning to end. His hand does not depart from the clay, even when it becomes marred. Indeed, the Lord will not abandon or forsake us. The good work He has initiated in us, He will bring to completion.

  If you feel overwhelmed by recent events, burdened by personal shortcomings, or discouraged by persistent challenges, be assured that God continues to work in your life. His mercy is renewed in this very moment. If you turn to Him, He will not reject you. God orchestrates all circumstances for the good of your salvation. Our ultimate purpose is to be drawn closer to Him and to be shaped into the likeness of our Savior.

  In truth, we are all earthen vessels who have experienced flaws on multiple occasions. God has consistently shown us grace and mercy, continuing His transformative work in our lives even when we are responsible for our own failings. Through repentance, restoration is possible. In submitting to God’s will, we discover relief and a peace found only in Christ. Take courage today; the Potter’s work in you is ongoing.
