"Always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain."

1 Corinthians 15:58

The work of the Lord is for all Christians to partake in. The will of God involves work. We need to diligently pursue God's will in our lives, that the Lord be glorified in us and through us.

All of God's people are commissioned by the Lord to see His Kingdom advanced in the world. We are the ambassadors of Christ. Let us see ourselves called by God to bring the Gospel to everyone around us in word and deeds.

Jesus taught the disciples to pray for God's will to be done here on earth as in heaven. As we pray, we must also be willing to use our lives for the Lord. We are looking to work daily for the Lord. There is nothing too small that God cannot use. He simply asks us to be faithful to whatever task is before us. We have the full assurance that nothing you do for the Lord is in vain. Chris should be in the center of our lives and we bring glory to Him in all our relations and occupations as we live out godliness.

Live for the glory of God today. None of it will be in vain.

"But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, "Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid."

Matthew 14:27

The wind was against the disciples, and the waves were beating against their boat when Jesus came to them, walking on the water. The disciples did not recognize the Lord.

In times of adversity, we do not always understand what the Lord is doing or why He is allowing storms into our lives. We struggle against the winds and waves, becoming exhausted and questioning our faith. Will this ever end? Is God hearing me?

May we hear above the stormy winds and waves the voice of our Lord, "Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid." This promise of the Lord remains beloved. Be not afraid. I am with you, is the promise of our Lord. He is with you today and will see you through the storms of life until we rest in that peaceful land where there is no more sorrow or pain.

"Beginning to sink he cried out, ' Lord, save me.' Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him. "

Matthew 14:30 - 31

The prayer was simple, and the response was immediate. The Lord is not concerned with lengthy discords but with genuine cries for mercy.

Our hope today should be the cry for mercy. You do not have to impress God with your words or convince Him of your need for help. The Lord is ever present to help regardless of what you are facing. He can reach you wherever you are.

There are times when we feel as though we are sinking. The weight of our sins and the burdens of life are overwhelming. But God will lift us from the pit of iniquity when we cry for mercy. He is our burden bearer, lifting our heads and revitalizing our spirits.

Cry for help today, beloved. God hears you and will take hold of you. You will not sink in despair.
