"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."

John 1:5

As we enter winter, the days grow shorter, and the darkness grows longer and colder. This can reflect the trials in our lives. Seasons when it would appear to be dark and hopeless. Without a source of light or warmth for the soul.

Christ entered the darkness of this world with brilliance. He is the light of the world, beloved. The darkness could not overcome Him. Christ is with you in your darkest hour. He is ever present to help you, comfort the hurting, and strengthen the weary.

The Lord will faithfully see you through the darkness of night while working all things for your redemptive good. Take heart and trust the Lord even though you cannot see Him, He is with you.

In Christ Alone,

Pastor Wight
