“The Lord has heard my plea; the Lord accepts my prayer.”

  Psalm 6:9

  Beloved, while it is comforting to know that the Lord hears our cries, there is even greater joy in realizing that He accepts our prayers. When we reflect on the fact that we stand before God solely by grace, it is profoundly humbling that He receives our petitions.

  God does not merely tolerate us or set us aside; rather, He welcomes us into fellowship with Himself. The Holy One receives us through Christ. On the basis of His righteousness, we are able to offer our lives, worship, and pleas for mercy before the Creator of heaven and earth.

  Our heavenly Father accepts the prayers we offer today. Let us approach the throne of grace in Christ with confidence. Through Jesus, we have been reconciled and now stand in right relationship with God. Our pleas are heard and accepted, not because of our merit, but because of the Lord’s mercy. May the peace of God fill your heart with this truth and bring you comfort throughout the day.
