All Things are Well | Sep. 10th
“He has done all things well. He even makes the deaf hear, and the mute speak.”
Mark 7:37
This may be the greatest understatement in human history. Acknowledging that Christ has done all things well is stating the obvious. Unfortunately, many are blinded to the reality of this truth. Not because it is not visible, for all of creation speaks of the glory of God but due to the dullness of our hearts. Sin has robbed us of more than we can ever fathom. Only the Spirit of God can remove such a shroud of darkness. All who Christ has touched exclaim He has done all things well.
Upon the touch of the Savior is the opening of our ears. Not because of our keen sense of hearing but only because the Shepherd knows His sheep and He calls them by name. They hear because they belong to Him. He leads them from the pen beside still waters and into His green pastures where the Good Shepherd causes them to lie down.
Because the Spirit of God has made us alive unto God, our mute tongues have been loosed, freed from falsehood, vanity, and cursing. From the innermost being, streams of living water now flow, making the heart glad while pouring forth praises unto God and words seasoned with grace. Glorious exclamations to God and words of edification to others.
This transformation has taken place because we are new creations in Christ, and He has done all things well.
In Christ Alone.
