" Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners."

Mark 2:17

It is that time of year when you see reminders to get the flu or Covid shot. For many the concern of Covid has come and gone. With the changing of the leaves, people become more aware of cold and flu-like symptoms and take the necessary preventive measures to be well.

Sadly, we should be more mindful of our souls' condition. Many assume that they are healthy but do not realize that they are dead in their sins and need the Savior. Others have not cast off those things that easily entangle them or have sought the Lord to create within them a clean heart.

We are regenerated in salvation once, but sanctification is an ongoing process. It is more than a seasonal occurrence; it is a daily need to surrender to the Holy Spirit. May we seek the healing our hearts need today from Christ. He alone can help us, and thankfully, the Lord is willing to cure us of all our diseases.

In Christ Alone,

Pastor Wight
