“Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance.”

   Proverbs 1:5

Beloved, no matter where we are in our season of life, we all need guidance. We never come to a point in life when we have all the answers or know for certain what tomorrow holds. This truth leads us to an important daily practice.

It is the daily acknowledgement before God that we need His help, which enables us to be teachable. Let us confess our lack of understanding, our inability to walk in complete victory, and our need for God’s mercy. When we hold this posture of the heart, we come to God in humility, seeking His wisdom through the scriptures, strengthened by the Holy Spirit.

As we progressively increase in God’s wisdom and understanding, we receive guidance, God’s providential care, and discernment from the Holy Spirit. Therefore, seek the wisdom of the Lord, and you will obtain guidance.

In Christ Alone.
