" For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed." says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

Isaiah 54:10

There seems to be an overwhelming sense of uncertainty in the world today. Every day and every passing week brings news of political unrest, rumors of wars, conflicts, and cataclysmic events. The terms used to describe these events have been "Biblical and apocalyptic." These depictions have become common in the media.

Though many of these things are true, our hearts become burdened with the weightiness of the news. Let us be reminded of the faithfulness of God. Though the mountains may depart and the kingdoms of this world crumble, the compassion of the Lord remains.

He will have mercy on His people and bestow upon them peace. Nothing in this life or death can separate us from His love for us in Christ Jesus. Take heart, therefore, beloved; God will not forsake you, and He is preparing a place for you. Let not your hearts be troubled.

In Christ Alone,

Pastor Wight
