“I bless the Lord who gives me counsel.”

  Psalm 16:7

Beloved, we are not left to ourselves in this life. God is more willing to guide us than we are to seek His direction and will. Frequently, we remain anxious, struggle with decisions, and fail to rest in God’s providence because we do not seek His counsel.

The Lord leads us as He deepens our understanding of Scripture. He reveals His character, our identity in Christ, and the ways of His kingdom. The promised Holy Spirit dwells within us as our teacher and comforter. He enables us to discern the Lord’s will and grants peace to those who walk in faithful obedience before God.

Let us fully embrace God’s promise to guide us. Let us wait upon the Lord through prayer and the reading of Scripture. In doing so, we will learn to bless the Lord, who continues to counsel us throughout our days.

In Christ Alone.
