I Have a Father | Sep 11th
“Our Father in heaven.”
Matthew 6:9
Beloved, many of us, as children, were not aware of all the needs that were pressing in the home. We rose and slept with no thought to our food, clothes, and the common necessities of life. We were vulnerable while completely dependent upon the care and nurturing of our loved ones. Anxiety about what the day held didn't set in until later years.
There is something we should recognize in the Lord’s Prayer that points to our younger years and how we should address our Father in heaven. This is not to disregard our responsibilities and the need to carry on, but if we could understand something of our Father’s care, we would be far less anxious.
Our Heavenly Father knows what we need today, and He will not forsake us. He walks with you in your most vulnerable moments and will give you peace when fear tries to creep in. He will sustain, feed, and clothe you not only physically but spiritually as well. The Father will satisfy the deepest longings of your heart and give you rest. Call Him by name today; He will always answer His children.
In Christ Alone.
