Mercy for Today | July 29th

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

  Lamentations 3:32-33

The dawning of a new day does not always appear to greet us with signs of mercy and endless love. The cares of yesterday did not change; their weight grew heavier, and there is fresh cause for concern. We are left to wonder, how long shall I endure?

Beloved, the steadfast love of God and His mercies are not represented by comfort or ease. The Lord Himself is your mercy and steadfast love for the day. The Holy Spirit living in you is the glory of God’s mercy and the sureness of His lovingkindness. The Lord will surely help you in all your needs, but may you fix your eyes of faith upon the One who is holding you in the palm of His hand. The Lord will never let you go and will lead you through this day.

In Christ Alone,

Pastor Wight
