Shielded in Christ | Oct 29th
“You, O Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.”
Psalm 3:3
Beloved, our struggle is not against flesh and blood; rather, our adversary and conflict are spiritual in nature. We contend with our own flesh and face the persistent attacks of the evil one.
When the enemy overwhelms your heart and mind, seek refuge in Christ. Remember that the Holy Spirit within you is greater than any adversary. If the Lord is our shield, the enemy's attacks cannot consume our spirit or lead to our destruction. Christ, as the author of our faith, ensures that our faith endures, even amid doubts and fears.
We may endure the agony of toil and the frustration of temporary weakness, yet through repentance and humility, we find victory in Christ. Our security rests in God’s sustaining grace, the active presence of the Holy Spirit, and the enduring power of Christ’s redemption. The mighty shield that is our God remains unbroken. Though you may face adversity, you are secure in Christ.
In Christ Alone.
