“Whoever gives thought to the word will discover good, and blessed is he who trusts in the Lord.”

  Proverbs 16:20

Beloved, why do you read your Bible? What should be at the forefront of our minds in reading scripture is the desire to know God. There is no other way to truly grow in the knowledge of who God is and His way other than scripture.

From there, we can learn many things about God’s ways, His plan for us, what He requires, and all of His precious promises. We can spend a lifetime reading the Bible while never exhausting its riches. When we give thought to what the word of God reveals to us, we understand that it is good. Good in nature and a blessing received as we look to God through His word.

If we look to Scripture and reflect on our lives in light of it, we come to understand that we are called to trust in the Lord. Let us read the Bible today and trust the God of Scripture. There is a blessing in both.

In Christ Alone.
