What Kind of Love | July 3rd

"See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God: and so we are."

1 John 3:1

Beloved, do you know that the Father loves you? The love He has for you is so great that the Father calls you His own. You are called a child of God.

When we regard how unworthy we are of such love, it is humbling to know that the Father has made us His own in Christ. We are called the children of God, but this is not a mere term of endearment. It is not a nickname or sentimental gesture without any basis in truth.

We are called the children of God, and so we are. Suppose you have no family in this world, and you feel hopeless and alone. Let not your heart be dismayed. You belong to God, and He has claimed you as your own. The Father will never forsake you, and He loves you without end.
