“The parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable.”

   1 Corinthians 12:22

Beloved, how strong is your thumb in comparison to your leg? You could never put the entirety of your body weight on your thumb as you would on your leg. Yet the thumb is indispensable in day-to-day tasks. Though it is weaker than the leg, it is useful and, in many instances, is used in tandem with our legs.

Nothing we do for God is insignificant. There is no task too great or small when done for His glory. The ministry of the Lord is not carried on solely by those who stand before the church. Every member has a contribution to make, and all are valued in God’s service.

Prayerfully consider how you can build the house of God and encourage others in Christ.  Faithful attendance can bless those around us. A warm greeting, a word of encouragement, or a listening ear can all be used for the Lord and become a blessing to others. Be intentional in speaking to others when you come to worship.

Do not compare your talents with others. Be faithful with what you can do. That is enough. If your faith seems weak in comparison to theirs, do not hesitate to offer yourself to the service of God. No one's faith is useless.

So whether you have great faith or small faith, a few talents or many, offer it all to the Lord.

In Christ Alone.
